Children’s – Children’s style lighting is generally more playful than typical lighting. It features lots of colors either bold or pastel. It can also contain pictures of sports, animals and cars in the shade.

Mission/Shaker – This style of lighting contains straight parallel lines on the shade. The shade color is usually opaque or yellow stained and featured in dark wood finishes. Most often seen in country cabin houses, this style is very geometrical.

Rustic/Lodge – This style of lighting is meant to be placed in a lodge or cabin. This lighting contains representation of twigs, leaves, deer, moose, antlers and cowboy theme. The finish is usually dark and can resemble wood.

Modern/Contemporary – This lighting is categorized as being very clean and simple. The fixtures usually contain straight lines with sleek metallic finishes. Color can be introduced in the shade.

Traditional – This style is classic historic design and is usually ornate. It is typically dramatic and tends to be more decorative than functional. It will typically contain curved and looping metals or scrolls in the detail of the finish or shade.

Transitional – Transitional style will contain elements of traditional and contemporary in the fixtures. Transitional bridges the gap between dramatic and sleek. It may contain softer curves finishes with simple shade fixtures.

Tiffany – Tiffany lighting is very colorful with tiny pieces of glass welded together similar to stained glass. The glasses can be arranged to depict flowers, butterflies or dragonflies.

Coastal/Tropical – This style is meant to be placed in a beach house or tropical location. These fixtures can range from ornate to simple contemporary. It is usually light/pastel colored and may contain representation of pineapples, starfish, lighthouses, seashells, fish or tropical flowers. Finish is usually wicker or rattan.
