If I could give zero stars, I would. There were no other reviews at the time I purchased and so I took a chance. I wasn’t prepared for the absolutely poor construction of this product. The four sides could not be attached because the holes that were routed out for the pieces to fit together were not aligned properly. The bamboo is not reinforced so this would not be good storage for anything particularly heavy, but that would be forgivable is the piece was actually able to be assembled. Save yourself the hassle!. I know that outdoor storage units this large are tough to find but I would definitely avoid this one. Strange that the description says “plastic” because it is intact made of metal. The assembly was cumbersome, taking about four hours. This was mostly related to needing to peel off the plastic coating from each piece of sheet metal. The thin plastic coating tears easily and you’ll frequently find yourself scratching at the surface to lift the plastic and begin again. The product is incredibly flimsy. After assembling, I lightly pressed on the lid to test its integrity- this left a permanent dent. There are large gaps in the body, it is by no means waterproof. Assembly pre drilled holes did not line up at all, meaning we had to re-drill the holes ourselves. The blue tarp didn’t come with enough double sided tape/velcro to adequately secure it to the box and the box had standing water inside after the first rain. With an easy open lid, this patio box gives you plenty of space to store away your tools and other utilities.

This is a great spacious storage bench but it has a few minor flaws. It was easy to put together but the instructions come with zero words. The specs say the wood is weather treated but it doesn’t feel like it. Only time will tell. With the waterproof zipper interior attached to the top hatch, it doesn’t close flush. So I removed the top part from the Velcro to have it close properly. The top hatch comes in 2 separate pieces so you can open them separately but if you want it to be all one piece, you’ll have to find a way to glue or clamp that yourself. This patio box is nice looking was easy to put together. There is a liner that zippers and keeps everything dry. My boys use it to store sports equipment including hockey sticks and bats gloves and roller blades all stay dry. It fits a lot and doesn’t look cheap. The boys also sit on it and it’s quite sturdy.. The first box we received had half of the pieces broken, and no screws. The second box only had three pieces broken... so with a little glue and a little duct tape and the unbroken pieces from the first one, we were able to assemble something. Not recommended though.. The hinges were cut down too much, the back of the top hit first leaving a large gap in the front. Definitely not water resistant or big resistant if the top doesn’t close. This was very difficult to assemble (and I’m usually really good at this type of thing). Part of the problem was that holes are in the wrong places on several pieces. Also, the bottom board is help up by tiny wooden legs, no screws at all!! So I’m going to add my own braces.
