We enjoyed the final result but the shed was challenging to put together. Sometimes these instructions nowadays are difficult to read. A big problem was that there were very few pilot holes drilled and the "wood" didn't like to accept the screws that were rather large. Here is my review of the Patiowell 8x8 Resin Storage Shed. First, Wayfair made the entire purchasing process seamless. Their website was easy to navigate, customer service was professional, and the FedEx deliveries (which arrived in two separate shipments) were handled quickly and efficiently. The shed arrived in five large boxes, and the FedEx delivery driver handled everything with care by placing the boxes neatly in the driveway. I was impressed with the thoughtful packaging. The components were securely protected with layers of Styrofoam, cardboard, and plastic straps to prevent damage during shipping. The shed itself feels sturdy, durable, and solid. Once all of the parts were organized, the instructions became easy to follow during construction. This project definitely requires two people, as many sections need to be assembled on the ground and then lifted into place. Once the base floor is completed, the rest of the build flows together step-by-step, including the walls, frame, roof, and doors. For tools and preparation, I highly recommend having a cordless drill, painter’s tape, extra bolts, and caulking for sealing the seams. Overall, assembling the shed was challenging and took about six hours to complete. Patience, organization, and a few extra supplies are essential for a smooth installation. Patience is a virtue - I was able to put this shed together by myself in about 10 hours. Picture instructions were 90% adequate however there were some steps I had to really focus on the drawings to determine where the pieces fit - inside/outside position grooves. Some of the screw instructions were not as clear as I would have liked. Definitely use a drill to help screws go in cleanly and keep closer to the outer edges to ensure screws actually go into walls. Having a second pair of hands during the wall & roof installation would have been less taxing physically. Screws for door hinges have no spares and as 2 of the 24 provided did not fit really well and I ended up stripping one of them and the other was only able to tighten half way I would have like the floor to be a bit firmer than it is. And the sizing is more 4.5 ft x 2.5 ft which was a bit of let down as I wanted to fit my current shelving units on both sides. I also would have liked a middle roof bracket to give it more stability for the door opening, plus I think it would have helped make the roof installation a bit easier.. Christine. North Saanich, BC. This shed is nice! It’s not what I expected but so far it’s been good. It is very windy where we live and so far the shed has been super sturdy. It is resin and has channels. Not sure how the floor will hold up, but the walls once assembled seem great. Assembly is a lot of prep and it takes 2-3 people. Comes in pretty heavy boxes so be prepared. You need to set aside a full day or two to assemble this thing, BUT I will say that the instructions are thorough and correct,,,, all the pieces were accounted for, and once assembled it's fairly sturdy,,,, though if you live in a high wind area you may want to consider a different shed. For us though, after placing it against a wall and in the corner, no worries about the wind. Looks nice, needs some sort of latching hardware for one door,,, I used magnets. This storage shed is definitely put together well making for easy assembly. I love the color and design and I cant wait to fill it. The metal is as described but a little flimsy for what I was hoping. You need to be familiar with the sizes. Also need to familiarize yourself with the dimensions and how they are determined. My only complaint is the height of the lower roof because the highest measurement given is actually for the center and not the entire roof.
