Extra Large (Over 45" Wide) Storage Trunks

Hand-finished solid mango wood gives this storage trunk dynamic character by highlighting unique grain patterns, knots, and variations on all of the surfaces. It's clean-lined and elevated by two metal sled legs for a modern touch. The top opens on a hinge to reveal a spacious inner compartment to keep blankets, heirlooms, toys, and other items. Clean-lined and minimalist in design, the top is a quick surface to rest a book or a couple of baskets.

The trunk is a beautiful piece of sturdy solid wood. I purchased it because it has the black metal legs and front handle that complements my current industrial bedroom furniture. Only four stars because it arrived damaged in two places. One at the left hinge attachment to the wood trunk, the other is a split in the wood on the right side of the trunk where the leg attaches. We were able to nail the wooden block into place to attach the metal leg securely and hopefully prevent further splintering. The quality control needs to be in place for both the preparation of the furniture for shipment AND ensuring the shipper HANDLES THE FURNITURE WITH CARE DURING SHIPMENT. This was my first time ordering from Wayfair I ordered three items, and this is second item I received and assembled. When assembling this item, the front had a screw in stud that was attached to wood “bar”, however, there was a groove in the front, back and two sides to hold the “bottom” of the chest in place. Because the groove was so close to where the stud was screwed in, the particle board aka: wood, crumbled away, I had to use a new wood screw and wood glue to fix it. Oh Wow I am happy with this chest! exactly what I needed for my dolls room. I have little space for a normal wide trunk, then I found this PURE BEAUTY! inside an out. Lined in white, will close by itself, slowly, incredible craftmanship and great color. I have to wait weeks for it to be shipped, but it arrived safely because it was well cushioned, but the shipper box was almost totally destroyed on one side. I am lucky it had no damage.
