It fits in a 2 foot space and allows me to hang clothes to help keep the room neat without being obtrusive. I bought two. The only issue was the pieces were not labeled as the direction booklet said. So it took more time to put together then originally anticipated. But if you take your time, and have the right tools it is easy to put together. I did need two people overall. Installed in a couple of hours, but Closet Maid includes a bracket that is supposed to make installation easier. It doesn't. Holes are not 16 inches apart so you will either use mollies or drill holes in the bracket. We threw it away. Now, for the good stuff. The adjustable shelving was perfectly easy to customize for what we had to store and if things change, so can the shelving. The kit went together well. Assembly is easy for a handyman. Due to the size of our closet and the trim in the closet, modifications were necessary for the left and right shelving.
