Welcome your family and friends to this mat. This action-backed mat holds up in almost any weather condition. This doormat has black binding tape to hold its many layers together. The top layer is a polyester felt that is dyed with the image that you see on the mat. The next couple of layers give the mat stability and the bottom of the mat is a rubber that has been stamped to help prevent slipping. I purchased this V A Dianthus coir doormat to replace a V A Strawberry Thief coir doormat which I purchased 2 years ago. The original doormat was beautiful on my covered front stoop, but it had become somewhat worn and the colors faded (as shown in 1 of the 3 attached pictures). The new Dianthus doormat is beautiful and matches the online images and description. The black background looks terrific in front of my black door and the terra cotta hues really pick up the similar colors in my brick steps and foundation.
