This is the softest rug I’ve purchased from Wayfair. It matches the color in photos but does draw a pinkish tent under some light. Nia. Worthington, OH. Tue Aug 04 2026

It's hand-woven from cowhide, offering a unique tactile experience while remaining a practical choice for your space. The design showcases interlocking diamonds that create a maze-like pattern, adding depth to the room without being a distraction. The Tikkul Solid Black is a statement-making hairon leather patchwork rug with the depth and confidence of a true designer piece. Hand-assembled from small, uniform squares of 100% genuine hairon cowhide, its mosaic construction creates a rich, dimensional surface that reads as solid black from a distance — yet reveals subtle variation in tone and texture up close, with hints of deep espresso and charcoal woven throughout the field. The result is a rug that anchors a room with quiet authority, whether placed in a modern loft, a moody study, or a high-contrast contemporary living space. Available in both rectangular and round silhouettes, making it as versatile as it is striking. A felt backing adds comfort underfoot and keeps the rug firmly in place on any flooring surface.

This rug is stunning. The photos on Wayfair don’t do it justice. At first, I thought it was pricey but after it arrived I understood why it cost a bit more. It’s well with it. Cowhide rug made with 1'' varying on length parallel strips

This rug looks great in my moody whiskey room. It reflects light nicely and adds some masculinity to the room.. Lauren. Destin, FL. Wed Feb 25 2026

I purchased 5x8 size. Great quality! Looks high-end. The color palette of this rug is warm tones, not cool tones. Note for reference, the pictures included in this review the chairs have warm toned wood and ivory colored upholstery, and floors are a neutral grey tone. Rug lays flat except for the one edge that was rolled the smallest, but you can put heavy books around edge for two days and it will flatten out. I did not use a rug pad or anti-skid pad since it seems to remain in place with the table and chairs on top of the rug.. Deb. CA. Sun Sep 29 2024
