Not sure which size to go with? Many customers use a 9x12 rug or an 8x10 area rug as a large living room rug, a bedroom rug, or a dining room rug. For smaller spaces, many of our customers select a 5x7 area rug or a 4x6 area rug as a small living room rug, a bedside rug, or as a dorm room rug. If you are still unsure, please follow our guidelines below for measuring.
To locate the proper rug size we recommend the following;
Living room: Leave at least a 1' border between your living room area rug and the walls.
Dining room: Choose a size that allows 2-3' on each side of your table to pull out chairs then place the front feet of the dining furniture on the vintage rug.
Bedroom: Depending on your rug and room size, we recommend placing your bedroom rug under the front 2/3 of the bed, and allow at least 3' on each side of the bed.
