About This Product

These kilims are made in the Northern region of Afghanistan by the Turkoman tribes in the villages. Kilims are known as pile-less, flat-weave floor coverings; the design is also known as slit-weave. Master Turkoman weavers in the Northern part of Afghanistan have created the beautiful pattern of this rug. These beautiful designs are achieved by interweaving the various colors of the vertical and horizontal strands of the kilim. It can be used as a wall hanging or as a floor covering.
