The table is beautiful and the chairs are very comfortable. It is important to note that when you are attaching the metal frame under the tabletop, do not screw in the screws too tightly. The tempered glass tabletop is tempered to withstand weight and force, owing to its being treated by controlled thermal and chemical processes to increase its durability and hardness. Being 8mm thick after considerable processes and due to greater compression, it's capable of withstanding greater force and thus harder and thicker than normal glasses. Safety is also not a concern for our dining table since the tempered glasses are known for their wide safety margin to the point that normal glasses dim in comparison owing to the former not breaking into sharp splints but rather into small spherical/circular pieces when subject to considerable force/pressure. Black powder-coated metal legs and glass suckers on four corners metal legs are intensely durable and strong, thus withstanding the strong glass tabletop for our dining table set. The glass suckers allow the metal legs to hold up to the tempered glass tabletop.

I'm very pleased with this dining set. It arrived quick and was packaged well so, no damage. It was very easy to assemble, took me about 30 minutes, the only help I needed was turning the table upright after putting the legs on. This kitchen set was ordered for a newly finished basement where I wanted to have seating for people to sit and eat/snack when watching television or using the gaming area. It is a small narrow area which is why this set interested me because it provided bench seating on one side. The set was delivered in three boxes, with one of the boxes looking like it had been pretty beat up. With some trepidation, I dragged the boxes inside and careful unwrapped all the pieces. Pros: When assembled it is a very sturdy set, the wood is beautiful and I love the contrast of gray seat to the wood tones. Cons: Assembly was impossible to accomplish in that the tools provided to screw the pieces together were totally inadequate; even when my husband used his power drill, it was awkward because the screws had to be inserted on an angle. The bench also had plastic on it and was difficult to remove; and three of the chairs had minor scratching.
