Tucker Murphy Pet™ Chicken Coops

If you are a backyard chicken keeper, you know the importance of a good coop. It needs to be safe, and sturdy, and provide ample space for your feathered friends. That's why we are proud to introduce our line of metal chicken coops, designed with both you and your chickens in mind. Our coops are constructed with rust-resistant and durable steel, ensuring they can withstand years of use and exposure to the elements. The plastic-coated hexagonal mesh provides optimal ventilation and keeps even the most determined predators out. Our coops also feature lockable doors, so you can rest easy knowing that your chickens are safe and secure at all times.

Instructions were very easy to follow. I love this idea and it fits perfectly for where we needed it. I question the durability though. I also am not a fan of the fencing used. It tears easily as it’s not hardware cloth. Any predator could easily get through this. We do plan to reinforce it soon, as winter approaches. If we didn’t have a fully fenced in yard, I would immediately reinforce the fencing. We have 12 chickens right now and they have plenty of space.. Ashley. NY. Wed Sep 02 2026

It is constructed from high-quality solid fir wood. All timber is T&G plained to avoid splintering. All joints are mortise and tenon.

The description is accurate. It's pretty small. Four chickens max, three is better. All the materials are light weight which makes it feel cheap, but it's well built. You couldn't build your own for the price of this coop. I recommend a few things for increasing its longevity. 1) Run a smooth bead of exterior caulk along the edges of the roof where it meets the trim mould. This will keep water from penetrating and ruining the edges of the roof and trim. 2) The screws aren't quite enough to make the coop stable. I recommend using a handful of galvanized 2 1/2 in. finishing nails at the joints to reinforce and strengthen the structure. 3) Put the structure on blocks/bricks to avoid rot where the coop contacts the ground. 4) Inspect the coop frequently and expect occasional repairs/maintenance.. David. Tue Aug 11 2026

The walls of the coop are made of PVC coated hexagonal metal mesh, which is strong and resistant to damage. The chicken coop tarp is made of 160 grams of PE material, waterproof and UV resistant, and removable, allowing the animals to enjoy the warmth of the sun while avoiding rain, snow, and excessive UV rays. This sturdy and durable chicken coop will become your poultry' new favorite place!

So I had a squirrel problem getting in my garden and this solved all my problems by being able to put everything inside together. We found it easy to assemble with everything included. My opinion to improve would be not zip ties as they rot and i bought metal rebar ties instead. Also directions could be better with wire placement. We did our own design other door side.Great sturdy quality and price was doable.. Dianna. Lugoff, SC. Sun May 24 2026

Easy to put together, parts are labeled, directions good. I only had to redo the hinges on lid, placing them somewhat higher than I had them in order for lid to close properly. Added an automatic door, the coop is spacious for my five hens, the roosting bars stay seated. I stapled two layers of strong plastic to roof for easy cleaning as they like to sit up there. The only part a little tricky was placement of the hinge on the left for roof, I wish the screw holes were marked better. I also set the coop on patio stones to protect the fir legs, the hens go under there sometimes.. Virginia. Tue Sep 15 2026

Was easy enough to put together, alone. It's exactly as pictured. I bought it to give my 5 hens somewhere to stay warm this winter. I made quite a few modifications to make this coop more useful. I used strong magnets across the top so we could reach into the run. We added stair tread to the roost ramp so our ladies didn’t slip around anymore. I’d planned to use a solar door opener to let the gals in and out, but I was one day over the 30 day return window and Wayfair wouldn’t let me return it even for store credit. It didn’t fit despite the online specifications saying it would.. Ashley. US. Tue Aug 11 2026
