All swing pet flaps are made from robust plastic and have universal fitting: they can be installed in many different structures and materials. Besides, they have been designed to guarantee maximum comfort, reliability, and facility of use. The flaps are equipped with a special wind-stopper system preventing draughts (models swing 1 and 3 excluded) and a 4-way locking system (except in model swing 1 with a 2-way locking system: open or locked). Thanks to the locking system, it is possible to adjust the flap opening as you need: for example, entry only, exit only, entry and exit, or closed. In the models Swing 5 and 7, a useful direction indicator will help you to understand whether your pet is: indoors or outdoors. All larger flaps come with a tunnel of 1,97'', allowing them to be adapted to any structure. The tunnel can also be trimmed ( except in the model's swing 7 containing a very delicate mechanism). For Swing 5, swing 1, and 3, which come with partial tunnels, a specific modular extension tunnel is available as an accessory and is 1,97'' in depth (screws are not included). I installed this on a screen door that had a thin metal section at the bottom. It was either this, or a very thick doggie door, which wouldn't have worked well on the thin metal. It ended up working great, but some modifications were required. If you put it on anything other than a screen, it pays to spend some time before installing it to think about what modifications may be necessary. For instance, there are some interlocking plastic pieces that work great to hold it securely to a screen, but have to come off if you're putting it on a thin solid surface. Installation would have been very quick and easy if I had been able to put it directly on a screen, but it still worked out great for my needs. I highly recommend this door!. Phillip. Pensacola, FL. Dog door

I don't have the dog house that this was designed for, however I have a puppy pass thru in my screen room that needed something to help keep the flies and mosquitos out. This is doing the trick. The dogs are not afraid of it because they can see through it, and the strips are nice and wide. This was 1" too long for my application, however the strips cut very easily with my kitchen shears.
