Works great! Most pet steps are not built for long dogs (dachshunds). These work great for her to get onto the couch and it folds up to an ottoman or seat when needed. The carpet on the steps is just stapled down so that looks a little cheap. But I would most definitely still buy it again. Sue. US. Tue Sep 22 2026

It’s very well made with a very nice fabric. All I had to do was attach the legs, but I didn’t read the description properly because I thought it was 17 inches when it’s fully extended as a ramp but it’s 12 inches high when the ramp is extended and 17 inches when it’s in the ottoman position therefore I won’t be able to use it as a dog ramp but as an ottoman with the weight capacity it’s very nice.. I was worried about buying a set of dog/cat stairs. I didn't want them to look cheap or ruin the vibe of our bedroom. Does your furred friend have a tough time getting up to the top of your bed or couch for a good snuggle? Adding a pet staircase like this is a great option for helping them reach a place they can't quite leap to. Crafted in the USA from solid red oak, this staircase features carpeted steps perfect for making sure those paws don't slip. Panel accents on the sides and a deep neutral stain lend this piece a traditional look.

I bought these stairs for my 20 lb cat who has arthritis and has pain jumping down from the bed. I originally looked at stairs made specifically for cats, but they didn’t seem sturdy enough to support him. These stairs are sturdy, well made, and have held up great. The carpet has also held up really well. My cat uses them every single time he gets off the bed. I would definitely recommend these for anyone with a larger cat (or small dog).. Jessica. USA.
