The material is good and quite suitable for small birds like parakeets and conures. However, the manufacturing could be improved to make it mess-free. I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home.. My bird loves her new cage. I’m still adding toys and rearranging, there’s lots of room and I want her to have fun navigating various perches and from one side to the other. The only thing that I would change are the food and water cups that are designed for the food doors. on this cage. The cups are much taller and more narrow than standard bird feeder cups. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. Some things didn't fit the way they should. Nice cage overall. I did end up using some zip ties as I did not trust that they would not come apart. I would not have bought this with out the sale price as I think that is a better price for the cages. I got this for more flight area for my canaries and I believe it will provide that.
