My cats took to this immediately, from the time I had the pieces all over the floor, to the time it was built. I like how nice it looks in the house. I bought this gray wood and the darker wood version. It was fairly easy to build, especially if you use a power screw driver. There were a couple of places I had to drill the holes a little deeper to get the screws in, but I’m not very strong. The one thing t had trouble with is the bigger wood pieces had black plastic pieces on the corners. This has been a great addition to our cats’ furniture collection! The smalleryounger cat loves to sleep on the flower on top, which is made of something like memory foam, but a bit denser. I imagine it is somewhat self-heating and also helps to hold onto the heat from the window. My largest cat loves the middle level basket. She will curl up in it for hours and has since I took it out of the box. Her sister is terrified of the entire thing and avoids even being near it. I have no idea why. I picked it because it had 3 levels, and they are always together, but it has not appealed to her yet. My cats love this cat tower. It’s sturdy enough for both, who are 10lbs, to jump onto it, scratch on the sisal posts and tuck into the boxes or platforms.
