I bought this to replace my previous filter kettle, so it does exactly what I expected. However, a week or so after I’d got it I noticed there was a dent in the metal band around the kettle. Unfortunately, I hadn’t noticed it when I unpacked it and had thrown away packaging etc. Very poor quality control, hence the 3 star review.

Good size for what I need it for. I use this every day.

Bought this kettle as 1, my old one that lasted many years is dying and 2, limescale is always in my kettle and it was a glass kettle so was a pain to keep it scale free constantly so seen this in the shop and got it. It’s plastic and you can’t see in it so much which I am happy with lights up great pretty quiet and quicker than my old one. it could be a little bigger but this doesn’t bother me I live on my own. Would buy one again in the future I’ve had a few small electricals off this brand and all of them lasted well I still have the microwave from 5 years ago to and was pretty good value for money and this kettle.

This kettle is only suitable for a family of 2 persons as the maximum cups are 3 in each filling, but for those it is an excellent Purity Plastic Clear Kettle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a hard water area, meaning previously my kettles would be destroyed in a short space of time due to limescale build up and the tea would also have limescale residue and that horrible taste that comes with it. Since using this kettle there have been no such issues. Firstly you can visibly notice the difference in the colour of the tea, it it a lot less murky. I love that you can start boiling the kettle from the point you fill it rather than waiting for it to filter. The kettle boils quickly, although of course slightly longer than a conventional kettle as the water has to filter first. Changing the filter is really easy and there is an indicator at the top when you need to change the filter. The capacity of the kettle is less than others I would say but perfectly fine for 2 large mugs of tea. Overall I am very happy and would never want to go back to a standard kettle.

As I have a lot of hard water in my area so the kettle gets filled up with limescale. So thought I would give this kettle a go. It worked like a treat once you read the instructions on what to do when you first get your kettle. The water tasted cleaner in one way and you can tell the difference from using the old kettle.
