This 81 year old grandmother snapped this thing together in record time ( easy instructions), stuffed three large chaise cushions inside and escaped the torrential downpour that followed. Ok so first of all? This deck box is huge! You can fit two average sized people in it. It holds A TON of stuff. This deck box is absolutely massive and holds everything I needed it to- with room left over! I garden so I needed somewhere to store my extra soil, mulch, and even some extra pots. They were so cluttered in my house and patio so this was my solution. It worked great and there’s even room for more. The only thing I would maybe change would be sealing it a little better- I don’t need a full lock with a code needed or anything but sometimes a strong wind shifts the lid a bit so I’d like to be able to lock it in place. The deck box is the perfect box for my needs, I got the 50 gallon box. The box is made of resin, it’s waterproof and can be locked. I have placed the box on the deck, although, it can be used in the garage, patio, etc. I love that I can store fertilizer, various yard sprays, gardening tools, etc., in it. I’m having trouble writing this review. I thought for sure I had submitted it twice. Here goes and hopefully number three is a charm. I love the deck box. It’s sleek contemporary sturdy. I appreciate the hydraulic lift, but I have found it important to close it applying the pressure directly in the middle. I have not tested the lock, but I’m grateful for that, as I will be storing some valuable items in it while outside. I lost my large shed last month, so this is a lifesaver for me! It seats 2 to 3 people comfortably. With a sleek design, it would nicely fit behind a sofa, under a stairway or even delineate an area. I plan to place it out on my large patio to store cushions a small tool kit and anything else that needs to get put away to avoid clutter. I am planning on using it to store my gazebo canopy this coming winter. All in all, it’s a great deck box and the price can’t be beat. It’s not a deck box that someone could sit on. This is the perfect size to hold all of our seasonal items. I don’t have a garage so it’s ideal to have a place for beach gear once it’s come out of the attic. I'm proud to say I was able to build this one on my own - it's very simple. All of the edges just click into place, and then the hinges need a Philips screwdriver and that's about it. What doesn't work is the sizing. Even here it says 22" x 17" - that makes no sense. It was sold as a 125 gal deck box but turned out to be a 45 gal box, so it's not really large enough to keep even just 4 bottoms and 4 tops to an outdoor furniture collection. I was really scared when I first opened the box because it looked low-quality. I wasn't able to assemble it myself. My husband assembled it but it took him 7 hours. When it was assembled, we were very pleased with the look and quality of it. It's a BIG box and we were able to fit lots of stuff in it!
