This will take 2-3 people to assemble (3 people for the roof to make it easier). If you are putting this together yourself you and helper or two should be able to get it done in about 6 hours or so. Once correctly assembled it is very sturdy and is exactly what we were looking for a more permanent structure. This replaces an all cloth (with metal frame) gazebo that we had and it looks like it is going to last quite nicely. The mosquito netting on the top is a bit of a joke. It isn't big enough to fit all around the interior roof. By the time you get half of the net up, the other half starts coming off the Velcro. Maybe it will stretch out over time? PRO's: - Very Sturdy once all assembled and mounted down. - Shipped with a lot of foam padding and hard wood ends to protect the roofing from damage. - Minor bends from shipping that could be bent back with pilers. - Cloth curtains and inner bug netting does fit all around (if installed correctly) to fully enclose the gazebo. - Cloth curtains also appear to be made of good quality fabric. - Says it will hold up to 3,000 lbs of snow, and wind gusts up to 55 mph. Where I live it will test this! CON's: - 1 of the 3 boxes is EXTREMELY HEAVY. It is beautiful, but hard to build, a lot of screws, which take an Alan wrench, all that could have been avoided with the use of buttons that click into place, but the worst part is the Curtains, the directions do not tell you how to put the curtains up, it took four times, with trial and error to figure out how to hang the curtains, if you buy one, you will know what I mean. But when it is built, it is so pretty, and cool inside, the neighbors have stopped speaking. That is when you know you have done good Just a tip, the heavy drapes go on the big bar with the tie strings in the outside, so you can tie the onto the poles with the seam Aligning with each pole The mosquito netting hangs on those smaller curtain rods, which angle out the wrong way to someone that doesn’t know what’s going on, I can zip them and place them on the small skinny curtain rods, making sure that the ties are facing toward the pole that ties them to the pole, And unzip them as you go, that’s pretty much it. I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. The hardest part was the height of the roof and the reach needed to attach some screws. None of the work is challenging. It just requires some basic construction skills and teamwork (patience).. Love the way it turned out. It’s definitely a two person job. It was fairly simple assembly until you get to the roofing part. Putting on the metal roof was a challenge, but workable with two people- one on a ladder. The holes lined up exactly with all pieces, but a few times we had to maneuver them and adjust to line things up. We did line up all of the roofing pieces on the ground before beginning as shown in the instructions. Highly suggest that. After assembly, it didn’t not feel as sturdy as we wanted, so we mounted ours to 4 x 4’s and staked those into the ground with rebar. Feels sturdy now. We are very pleased with it.. Kellye. There are some really cool features with this gazebo that I must've missed when originally looking at the description but number one for me is that the roof panels actually let in some light. Somewhat translucent-ish. They are not totally sun blocking which in the Pacific Northwest is HUGE. Assembly was easy enough. I put it together in an afternoon with a little bit of help. When we finished, we had a strong storm pass by with high winds and lots of rain and it didn’t even move. It covers perfectly our patio furniture and protects it from direct sunlight. At first I was super upset when I got my packages. They were not handled as written on the box and had several puncture marks on them. I realize this isn’t a fault of Wayfair but they should be aware of the condition of packaging. All of my packages were delivered standing upright instead of flat. Despite a piece of wood being bent and the roof tin having a few dents it still went to together just fine. I did it myself, female. It took me 3 total days. Half a day to organize things and almost 2 12 to build it. No regrets at all. Just pay CLOSE attention to directions as you go so you don’t have to go back and fix anything. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good.
