This pergola can be whatever you need it to be, creating a shaded retreat to enjoy the outdoors on rainy days. Its versatility and weather resistance make it the perfect addition to any outdoor space, ensuring happy hours no matter what the weather.

The installation went perfectly, I was impressed with the fitment of the parts, also the packaging The whole thing arrived in seven boxes, well labeled, which made assembly a breeze Kudos for the overall design and fitment of the parts I did use my own tools for assembly, as there are lots of bolts to install. G T. Thu Aug 28 2025

The pergola was overall easy to assemble. It was just tedious with to many bolts, probably took about 5 hours total. Would take less with 2 people. 2 people are definitely needed to assemble. The pergola is super sturdy and well made. We bolted it right on to the deck. It rained last night so I can say it prevents water from leaking through the top which is a nice addition to our deck. 1010 recommend for the price and convenience. We ordered the additional side curtain accessory for shade and privacy which was also easy to install.. Anonymous. Sat Jun 14 2025

This pergolas cleverly combines natural style with modern craftsmanship. The simple and stylish line design will definitely become an eye-catching presence in your courtyard, making the ordinary yard instantly soar in style.

I was looking for a pergola to provide some relief from the hot FL sun. Delivery came quickly. I paid for assembly (not the best experience but that has nothing to do with the pergola). The was one base cover missing but when I contacted customer support the missing piece was sent. I am happy with the quality and function of this pergola.. Kimberly. Wesley Chapel, FL. I have one and my daughter has one. I think it is a nice piece for the price. Easy to follow instructions, and pretty easy to put together. My daughter and I built both, helps to be tall. Time consuming without a electric drill/driver with bit.. Jennifer. Racine, WI. Thu Jul 23 2026

We love our 15x13 louvered pergola. Looks really nice and expensive and feels solid. It took an experienced crew of 2 about 3 hours to install but I know ot would've taken me and a friend at least 6-8 hours as it'll take longer to read the instructions and plan the steps etc. whereas the experienced pergola installers went right into it. The louvers work well and are the best thing abiut this compared to our previous gazebo. You can bring in as much light as you want while controlling direct sunlight, but make sure you decide which way they should open (by rotating the whole pergola) as that dictate if you can control direct sunlight. The lights are solar with 1 smallish panel but they lasted more than 4 hours on the couple of occasions we used them, and likely would've lasted longer if we needed then. You can control brightness (3 levels) and color (warm to cool). They're bright enough but I would've preferred brighter.. Anonymous. Kennesaw, GA. Tue Jun 16 2026

Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. Haven’t experienced any serious windy conditions yet to speak on so we’ll see. So far overall all good.. Bryant. Miami, FL. Wed May 31 2023

During the day, you can close the louvers to enjoy sun shade; In the evening you can also use the strips light while you relax in your favorite chair! If the weather changes and it starts to rain simply close the louver shut and continue to enjoy your outdoor living area with friends and family.

Edit: purple leaf team reached out to me directly. I'm impressed with their customer service so have raised this from 2 to 4 stars. I still think the instructions should be updated. However given that they stand behind their products I'll give this a good review. Pergola looks good quality, but I'm knocking off a lot of stars for the installation instructions. I and some friends built the frame, and when I went to install the louvers, it turns out the frame is built wrong. The top beams are possible to set install such that the place to install the louver adjuster device is not on the same side as the prong the device needs to connect into. Its pretty easy to install the frame this way, there's nothing preventing you and the letters on the individual parts are easy to lose track of when the part looks the same as another part and is 10 feet long. For this price I'd expect the parts to not be possible to connect together. We'll have to completely disassemble it and rebuild it, wasting a ton of time. Frustratingly, there are a number of labels on the parts that are not the same as the instructions, particularly the L components have different numbers than whats in the instruction manual. These are easy to figure out what they do, but overall I think the installation process and instructions should be improved to make this a better product.. Trevor. Seattle, WA. Mon Nov 02 2026
