The teak wood is good quality: dense and strong. There were just a couple parts of pieces that were cracking from where the assembly slightly pushed apart the wood, but I felt it was easy enough to put some wood glue in the cracks and clamp it for the night. Not worth going through the hassle of repacking it and setting up a return (a lot a cardboard and styrofoam). Overall, I'm happy with the set. The table is a beast in weight, and that speaks to the density of the wood, which is long-lasting. The chairs are really comfortable: they have that slight lean-back angle which works so well with the arms [which I imagined was the case from the pictures, and is why I wanted seats with armrests]. A few of the seats required slight tightening with a hex-key upon arrival to correct a wobble in their connections. Again, not a problem if you have that tool around. It would have been an advantage for the company to have someone on site to inspect the pieces before packing them for shipment, because I'm sure someone else may have been disappointed in those mild imperfections upon opening the boxes, and then tried to repack them for return.
