I am anxious to install the weathervane this weekend.. Alma. Los Alamos, NM. Fri Apr 05 2024

Love the look!! Going to look great on our cupola. The balls feel plastic but that’s probably a good thing where weather is concerned. Overall it’s heavy and sturdy. Also purchased the lacquer to protect it. Only complaint is there’s no instructions or hardware provided to secure the weathervane to your cupola or roof. Not hard to figure out how to put together, but some bolts or screws or something to secure it would have been nice. UPDATE: hard to keep secured to the cupola the way the bottom is made. We have it bolted in but twice within a year now we’ve had to climb back on the roof because severe storms have knocked it over since its hinged with only two “flaps” of metal. That part of the design needs improvement. Again, no instructions or hardware included.. Gina. Walton, KY. Fri Sep 04 2026

Since I just received the product and I haven't had the time to assemble it it looks great.. Anonymous. Sat Aug 29 2026

Weathervanes have been looked up to for hundreds of years. Popular in Europe, weathervane is valued for its function as much as its design. Farmers, seafarers, and others would watch the weather vane to get the weather forecast by paying close attention to changes in breathing, an indicator of bad or good weather. It is a hand-crafted fully-functional weathervane. Yes, it will still tell you if the wind is changing direction and will look great doing so.

Looking forward to adding this to our home for a rustic farmhouse look!. Mark. San Rafael, CA. Tue Aug 05 2025

Distinctive ornament provides a personal touch to your home. Includes complete installation instructions. An adjustable base allows for a variety of mounting options.

Replacing another Eagle that blew away in a storm. Did a lot of research, ended with this weathervane. It is a classic but, it doesn’t seem to be so ostentatious. Liked the design better of the next size up, but thought it might be too large (tall) for my copula. It’s winter, so I have not climbed up to install it yet. I Know I’m taking a risk, but the price was right and the reviews on all the sites seem to think Whitehall products are pretty good. Hope I’m right!. Howard. Merrick, NY. Thu Mar 05 2026
