It’s safe to say the level of detail in the instruction manual is one of the best we have ever seen! And the organization of the parts was *chef’s kiss*. We put it together in just over 3 hours while also wrangling our young hyenas - I mean kids. We have built dressers and desks and tables and wayyy too many Hot Wheels tracks. They all prepared us for this experience. And this was far easier than we thought it would be. My husband was able to be the only one up on the ladder while I took the role of assistant and hyena wrangling. Mirador provides a manual that is one of the best we’ve seen and the materials themselves are high quality. Nice pergola. Put it together by myself (with the help of a few ladders for temporary bracing. A few things…. There were many dents on several pieces but with overseas shipping I’m surprised there were not even more. It was also missing pieces that I will have to try to add later when hopefully the company will send me the parts. It does let rain through but not in large amounts. It looks very nice with the wood grain post next to the dark gray aluminum frame. The shade glides smoothly on the rails. It was unraveling with hole in it but company hopefully will replace it.. Pretty nice and sturdy. It comes in 7 boxes + box with screens and curtains if that’s the model purchased. I wish the assembly instructions were in box one and that the instructions told you where the hardware was, The instructions and hardware are in box 5. Make sure all parts are not damaged before starting assembly especially the key structure parts. Some of my louvers were dented but the didn’t effect my assembly. They were replaced, but it took a week to get the replacements. Wayfair and manufacturer were responsive and easy to deal with but it took time to get the replacement parts. This was surprisingly easy to construct (if you REALLY pay attention to ALL of the pictures and do it exactly the right way the 1st time; which we did not and had to take apart 3 different sections due to installing a piece/pieces in the wrong direction). The destructions (oops spelled that wrong, I meant instructions) are pictures only so be prepared for that. I recommend buying and using a rubber washer on the #3 roof screws. We did not and then had to figure out how to get back up there and put roofing tape over the screws to stop the little leaks. We also used the same roofing tape to go along the edge where this goes up against my house to keep the rain from running down between. It took me and my husband about 10 hrs to build this over 2 days. Full disclosure, we have both done some construction in our younger days, but we are both not as good as we once were.
