This shade sail is perfect for lowering the temperature in the pool. The water was 94° and not conducive to swimming. The day the shade sail was installed, the water temperature dropped to a refreshing 84° with the same high temperature in the high 90s.The pool can now be enjoyed all day. With UV indexes high every day here in Georgia (could not get the address listed to change) a portion of the pool is shaded all day. Don't waste your money. These are not deep enough to hold a pole firmly in place. We let them sit over a week after adding cement and once we attached the sunshade 3 out of 4 poles fell over. We had to then re dig them out and start over. They need to be 2 or 3 feet in the ground. This is only just over 1 foot. Don't buy this garbage. We learned the hard way so you don't have to. Being outdoors the entire time...these turnbuckles etc. are decent quality. The cababiners however, don't appear to be stainless steel...can't say for sure but this kit is a good fit for sail needs. I would prefer to have optional cable lengths however, as some installs are not all that perfect nor able to be perfect which requires shorter cables. This kit with an option to select 3 foot, 4 foot, 6 foot, 8 foot etc. would be ideal as the 12 foot only can be too long and require other ideas to attach the sail.
