This was perfect for us and just what we were looking to add to our back porch on a tight budget. Took about 10 hours for us to complete with two people taking our time. Love that the kit includes extra hardware, so no worries if you drop and lose a screw, washer or small part. We attached it to our fascia but made sure to find the roof beams to screw into. it feels very solid once assembled and secured to the concrete footing, it doesn't shake or move at all. Couple of things to improve on or be aware of: 1. Some of the holes on the roof don't align when assembling, so we had to tap some additional holes, at the corners of the tin sheets you are trying to line up 5 holes. 2. Instructions were sufficient, but could certainly be more detailed, with larger/zoomed in images of how things line up...just more instructions and images would have been helpful. 3. be careful when assembling the cross beams of the roof, the screws tie into rivet nuts which can loose their grip if forced or too over tightened. Tip: apply a sealant over the screws on roof as you assemble the roof, we did not and it definitely leaked at the screws even with the plastic washers, so we have had to go back and apply a sealant around roof screws, wish we had done that as we assembled the roof. Also seal existing unused holes if you need to new holes in case they don't line up.. Robwells. Celina, Texas, United States. Wed Apr 15 2026

So…I was super excited to get this - and I do love the amount of shade it provides outside of our unit behind our home. Initially, we put it up against our house, but it’s not an exact fit for our back deck, so we moved it to the extended portion of our lot, where we have a couple of buildings; I like it much better out there. My husband put it together, and did say that it is labor intensive, and even more so if you jump in without reading the instructions first - so he highly recommended reading the instructions before getting started. Also; you definitely want to secure it to a building or something - it is heavy enough, but probably not so heavy that a hard windstorm might not send it packing. We have ours mounted, so no worries. We both love the look of it. It is sleek, and good for the price.. Kathryn. Whiteville, NC. Wed Jan 21 2026

Danyani Maldonado. Louisville, KY. We bought the 20x12 to go over our back patio. The house has an eave so we measured and confirmed the stated height of the pergola would fit under the eave. The pergola ended up being several inches higher than the specs. I think 103 inches high when it was complete. Because of this, my husband had to buy a new blade to cut the rear poles several inches He also has to drill new holes. This worked out well but took several hours to address. The instructions aren’t great but we were able to follow them with minimal errors. Putting all the poles together was tedious but to be expected for this size project. Actually raising the pieces and attaching them to make the frame was not very difficult and we were easily able to accomplish it with three people. We had a downpour a day after putting it up, and only one spot has a drop, so I would say it’s pretty water tight. My husband doesn’t love that the roof isn’t opaque, so we may end up painting it. We’ll see. Other than the height issue, I’m pretty pleased with the quality for the price. I think it will last at least several years and give us time to decide if we want to do something more permanent back there.. Rachel. Alpharetta, GA. Mon Aug 10 2026

Pergola is awesome. There were several scratches and decent size dents when it arrived. Once I worked through being short a few screws the pergola assembly went well with mostly 1 person and was completed in about 7hrs. Needed a helper to raise the poles and square it up.
