Weathervanes & Cupolas

Add a decorative top to your shed or detached garage with the Handy Home Products Wood Cupola. This cupola comes with installation hardware and a cutting template and can be shingled or painted to suit the surrounding decor. Shingles are not included. Compatible with both Gable and Gambrel style roofs. The small cupola fit most 8-foot and 10-foot wide buildings while the large cupola fits most 12-foot and 16-foot wide buildings.

Love the look!! Going to look great on our cupola. The balls feel plastic but that’s probably a good thing where weather is concerned. Overall it’s heavy and sturdy. Also purchased the lacquer to protect it. Only complaint is there’s no instructions or hardware provided to secure the weathervane to your cupola or roof. Not hard to figure out how to put together, but some bolts or screws or something to secure it would have been nice. UPDATE: hard to keep secured to the cupola the way the bottom is made. We have it bolted in but twice within a year now we’ve had to climb back on the roof because severe storms have knocked it over since its hinged with only two “flaps” of metal. Replacing another Eagle that blew away in a storm. Did a lot of research, ended with this weathervane. It is a classic but, it doesn’t seem to be so ostentatious. Liked the design better of the next size up, but thought it might be too large (tall) for my copula. It’s winter, so I have not climbed up to install it yet.
