Our Beige Speckled Hand-Blown Art Glass Upplight Accent Lamp is a pretty combination of art glass and crystal that will easily enhance any décor in your home or office. This warm accent lamp features a ruffled uplift shade in bright amber tones that is hand blown using Favrile art glass. First developed by L.C. Tiffany in the late Nineteenth Century, the Favrile process embeds the colour within the glass itself which allows for subtle variations in tone and texture. This means that no 2 pieces are exactly alike. The metal base, finished in Brushed Nickel, features a stepped round pedestal and matching vase cap. In between, a crystal orb column break adds extra sparkle and shine when the lamp is illuminated. I LOVE this lamp! It is beautiful and unique, and adds a soft, warm glow in the room. It is exactly as I hoped it would be when I saw it in the catalogue. I wonderd whether a 40 watt bulb would give out enough light but it is just perfect for ambience, In fact, I used the dimmer to soften the light a bit more. The only caution I would have is that you can see the bare bulb when you are standing up and looking directly down on the lamp, Therefore, I don't have it on an end table that is chair height (the glare would bother me). Very statuesque lamp and base. Beautiful glass on the lamp and it molds perfectly into the base. There's an innovative set of spring clamps that firmly hold the lamp on. My only note is that the bulb needs to be a small round one, or the bulb will peak over the lamp.. Anonymous. Wed Apr 10 2024
