We needed "a" fixture and that's what this is. Not stellar, not breathtaking, but a solid, working, functional fixture. Easy to install, economical, and efficient. The only real downside (and it's a big one for us) is that the bulb can be seen through the frosted glass. It provides good light for our second bathroom and is a fine temporary fixture until we find something we love. I think we have the “antique brass” bolts holding the glass in place, but they are actually much less gold than they looked in the advertisement. We were looking for a bright gold. I had a hard time finding a light fixture of this type in this style, for whatever reason, so I gave this one a shot. It came fully intact with no damage. We've replaced almost every light fixture in our new home and this was one of the last we did and was probably one of the easiest to install. I purchased it for the stairwell going down to our basement. It looks very nice installed. I agree with some of the reviewers who have said when the light is on the shade takes on a yellow tone. We are using 60w Daylight LED bulbs so they are the whitest light you can purchase. Based on other reviews, I knew this was a possibility, but I liked the fixture so I took a chance.
