I want to love this so so much! It was easy to install and other than being tedious work to hang the crystals they were easy. It looks absolutely gorgeous, however as you can see, I did not expect that the room would be so dark above the light, I also did not realize the rest of the room would have the broken light pattern on it. I have never owned a chandelier so I was unaware of these effects. For those reasons I dropped a star off. But the fan is so awesome on this light and the light it gives to the floor is excellent as well. I also do not like that the remote for this light is black. The fan is so pretty and has a lot of crystals to install even more than I thought but unfortunately the manual does not tell you how to hook the hanging round crystals only the flat crystals that go around the pretty bottom part with beads on it. My handyman came and was going to hang it finally but after looking at it and my junction box he told me he would have to come back when he can because he needs to make a better support to hold the fan because it is so heavy. Wowzers, this was a really hard ceiling fan to install! I ended up calling an electrician to finish installing it, but they didn’t have any trouble. The remote control box was the hardest part! But for the fan itself, it is beautiful! You have to hang all the crystals on the bottom but that was easy and kind of fun and my daughter helped. The blades are clear plastic and when the fan is off it just looks like a gorgeous chandelier. The fan is silent, even on high. This is our first retractable type ceiling fan, and we’re pleasantly surprised. Now I want to replace all the traditional fans in our home! My only complaint (and the reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is that the three variations of “white light” are so very similar. I love bright lights, but not all the time and the “soft white” of this fixture still looks like the old fashioned LED lights folks didn’t love because they were so industrial feeling.
