Ordered two sets of these lights seven mints ago. Install was ok, but there isn’t much room to get it right as the mounted part of the light is flush against the ceiling. Seven months later, only one light is still working, while the other set no longer turns on. The light flickered a few times and went out. I checked the wiring to make sure nothing had come loose. This 15-inch drum Flushmount is basically the kind of light people buy when they just want something that works and doesn’t look odd on the ceiling. The frame is iron with a brushed-nickel layer on it, and the shade is a milky acrylic that softens the light instead of making lines or sharp marks on the walls. It runs at about 20W and gives close to 2800 lumens, which is plenty for a hallway or a small room. The 4000K color sits in the middle—not warm, not blue—so it feels clear without giving that cold look some lights have. It sits almost flat on the ceiling, so it doesn’t take up space or hang down into the room, which helps in older houses or places where the ceiling is already low. Cleaning it is easy, and the acrylic doesn’t turn yellow like some older covers used to. Putting it up is mostly just attaching the bracket, lining up the screws, and locking the fixture in place.
