These lampshades were packed so well that there were no dents or dirt at all. They are a good value, in my opinion. The only thing that I would change is that each shade has a seam in the binding around the bottom edge that is on the front, opposite the vertical shade seam. This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan.
