These lights are exactly as pictured and are what we needed to cover a patch in our ceiling where the old light was. We have not installed yet but only due to the electrical wire from the old fixture not being long enough after we patched the ceiling and having to call an electrician to install the lights instead of us doing it. If I was just replacing a normal light with this one, it would install easy and instructions are straight forward.
