To make a wall plate, two pieces of glass are cut, cleaned, stacked together, and placed into a kiln. The kiln goes up to 1450°f, the glass becomes molten and fuses together to make one piece of glass. The glass goes to a water jet and the plate is cut out. Then, the glass is placed onto a mold and taken to 1300°f, the glass becomes elastic and gravity pulls the glass over the mold. Hot knobs call this process slumping. The glass spends about 48 hours in the kilns. Expect slight variations in color and size.

Love the whitegrey marble-look wall plates! I have a whitegrey granite countertop backsplash done in a recent kitchen remodel. We didn’t think to relocate the electrical outlets to a less obvious location nearer to the countertop. These wall plates blend in so well with the granite material that they almost disappear from the backsplash. I’m very pleased. I do still need one double style (2 gang) wall plate that I didn’t find available here one side a CFC rectangle the other side a double electrical outlet…Maybe you do have this type available Many Thanks!.
