The lights light our pathway very nicely. The fixtures were easy to install, however I did not use the connectors that were supplied, they were not the best quality. Updated review: I received a replacement set which arrived very well packaged and in excellent condition and included the instructions which the original did not have. After reading the instructions I realized that the original set was in fact functional, the lights have a very discreet on/off button that I didn’t notice before it’s well hidden. The button is on the bottom where the stake goes in. For the hassle I’m giving it three stars but the lights do work very well and customer service came through like they always do. Absolute disaster with packaging. This is what it looked like as soon as I opened the box. There was nothing inside the big box to keep the lights from moving around. Put the lights outside in the sun for over 6 hours but they did not turn on at all at night. None out of a set of 6. I have not wired them in yet because we have 4 feet of snow on the ground at the moment where I live, but they are very durable and I did test the light on another wire and they are very bright without being too LED and in your face. Fantastic set of solar lights! These are way more sturdy than most others. Quite tall also. Came well packaged with no damage. First package shipped out encountered a problem before we even received it. They did send a replacement and did communicate adequately. When the replacement arrived the glass cover was cracked on one of the lights. I did not have the option to report a problem. This was, I assume, because I did not buy the protection valued at $18 dollars. I can understand if the product fails after you have had it for awhile but it is reasonable to expect that a product is received in good order and works when you get it. Perhaps, if you pay the extortion fee of $18 you may receive a product that is not damaged and works. My only option was to return the lights when all I would like is one light replaced. These lights are as described, tall and made of metal. The only ones I have had are the solar plastic ones that didn’t last long at all. I thought these were solar but due to my fault and not reading the description like I should have, I need a transformer and an electrician to install them for me. I read the instructions and installation is easy but due to the electrical part, I want a certified electrician to do this. They will be beautiful at night lighting up my sidewalk. I can barely wait.
