Interesting coloring... not your typical boring glass! When it said the color was smoke, I thought there would be a tint to the glass, but this is almost shiny. I got this light for my guest room and I'm in love with it. It is dimmable to down the lights brightness. That will be for a later day. It looks great in the space. I personally like bright, white light in a room so I think it's perfect the way it is. I was intimidated with so many wires coming out of the light itself as there are eight white and eight black wires along with a pig strand to hook it to your outlet in the ceiling.
