I am rehab'ing a 1920 farmhouse. It has limited and challenging wiring, fixtures, and outlets. The kitchen is huge, but had a single-bulb "dome" fixture. Gorgeous! This is such an elegant and stylish light. I have a seven and a half foot dining table in my formal dining room and finding something the right scale has always been hard but this light is huge and just the perfect length. With the glass shades on the end it is around six and a half feet long. Don’t worry about sturdiness over that span though. It is sold metal with just two joining locations, each secured by two machine screws (see closeup picture). It is very sold. Then simply add the 17(!) mirrored smoky gray glass shades (unscrew light socket collar put on shade and screw collar back on - see other picture) and you’ve got yourself the most sophisticated, glamorous lighting fixture in town. Absolutely love this chandelier! I spent so long going through the chandeliers that Wayfair has and finally landed on this one. It’s perfect over our breakfast table since we have a rectangle table and we wanted one that would match the length of it.
