I have one of these fan lights in my bedroom and I adore it. It saves me heat in winter and ac in summer. My bedrooms are small and when I moved in initially, the main bedroom had a full size ceiling fan in it. I was constantly hitting it when I changed the linens until I finally smashed a glass light-shade and that was that. I got a smaller one, prettier, but it still made my room seem much smaller. I want to put a similar light in the guest room, it is a wonderful amenity. Unfortunately, I was hasty making this purchase and it really doesn’t suit the room. Instead, I will install it in a different spot. I am thinking outside, in a covered patio. It’s moulded light cover will make more sense out there. The fan is perfect for a small room. It is in my 14 year old's room and the lighting is very cool. The fan puts out the amount of air you would expect for this size fan so it is not suitable for a large room like the living room. The installation was more complicated than other fans I've done. It's not impossible but it just took a lot of patience as the hardware provided wasn't as forgiving as some of the other brackets I've worked with. Fortunately it is also not nearly as heavy as larger fans so it is also much more forgiving when mounting. My ground wires were extremely hard to connect them all together and the one connected to the base snapped off at the connection to the screw. I ended up having to use an additional wire and manually wrap it around the screw but this actually made things much easier cause this wire was longer and allowed me to easily connect all three grounds together.
