I got 3 of these lights in matte black for my hallway, laundry room, and pantry. They were easy to install and provide a good amount of light using 2 bulbs. The only part of install that is slightly difficult is putting the light cover on after installing the bulbs. We love the circular shell accents, strung together to make up a glowing, organic curtain that artfully diffuses the down and ambient glows. It takes three candelabra bulbs, sold separately. It's also dimmable for setting the brightness to just the right level.

The traditional round shaped light is wrapped in a broad black strip with a wood grain interior and a bright white shade. When it lights up, you can clearly see the wood grain color of the inner layer, like the forest at night.

We replaced an old fluorescent fixture with this LED fixture. Our house was built in 1939, but I'd date the the original fixture from the 1990s. This light is well-priced and, in turn, the "wood" does not look much like wood (photos attached). It is a cheap plastic imitation made to look like wood, and even less than the product photos suggest. I know this is a tradeoff for the price. It looks metallic (more gold than wood) when the light is on. Installation was simple enough, but please know that light is attached to the bracket upon arrival so you'll want to twist it off before installation. With our older wiring, we didn't have a green ground screw (existing wires were already grounded), so we capped the provided copper ground wire. The light it a very warm/yellow light -- not a natural/white sunny light -- and I don't know yet if this will feel like too little light. This is an upgrade from what we had -- a fluorescent light that took a few seconds to blink on to minimal visibility -- and is a good price.
