This light isn’t fully what I expected once installed. I used it to update my mud room lighting. I thought it would be more flush against the ceiling, but it isn’t designed that way. The directions were very poor but I’m somewhat familiar with installing light fixtures. I like the rope texture of the light, and the large size, and how much light it gives off, but not the ceiling gap. I unfortunately don’t think this light will remain permanent in my mudroom.. Jenny. I purchased this light because it is hard to find a big island flush mount light. I have 7 foot ceilings and anything other than flush mount hangs too low for tall people. I really like the farmhouse look and that it takes regular light bulbs. It was packaged nicely and easy to put together. I took off one star because there was a defect with the paint. For something that costs so much I feel like they should quality check it before it leaves. It’s toward the ceiling so I’m just going to put some black paint over it.
