Good size and very bright! But you can change the brightness. I took photos of the 3 light settings in a dark closet so you can see how bright they are. These solar lights do not give off quite the same glow as shown in the pictures. The pictures make it look like a pattern of light but really it's just a solid circle of light. There were eight lights in the pack and putting them together was easy. You can stick them in the ground on mount them on a wall. These lights are being installed right now and I will post an update when I see them on. We bought them to place on a fence that borders a bocce court. We are mounting them high so that we will have a bit more light in certain areas of the court that get darker than others at night. This is our second purchase of these lights. We have them hanging all along our fence and they look beautiful. We bounce our first set five years ago. They have weathered the hot Texas sun and our winters with some freezing temperatures. Most of the first set still work perfectly. These were to replace a few that were broken over time.
