This floor lamp is the perfect plant grow light. I put it in my sunroom to shine on plants not getting full sun . Love the movable arm that allows you it to shine on any area.

I purchased this to use for a floor plant. The bottom floor portion does not allow for a plant to sit right under it. I would imagine this would also be a problem if you were going to use it for a reading light as well and were trying to put near a couch or chair. I added a timer to mine and it works good. I just wish you could sit a plant on the base so the
