This is a well respected brand and I have owned and loved a larger one for over 40 years. I thought I would try a more individual size. It is much smaller than I anticipated-my fault completely. I didn’t notice that the measurements were including the handles. Still I’m sure I will enjoy trying some new recipes with these cocottes.. Mary. Duanesburg, NY. Mon Oct 26 2026

The best holiday baking dishes earn a place at the table, not just in the oven — and the Berry Red Large Rectangular Baker earns it the moment it emerges from the heat, its glossy, saturated red glaze glowing in the kitchen light with the bold, vivid confidence of the most uncompromisingly festive color of the season. At 150 ounces and generously deep at three full inches, it holds every grand holiday recipe the season demands: a bubbling sweet potato casserole crowned with toasted marshmallow, a fragrant stuffing baked golden in the oven's warmth, a generous gratin of roasted root vegetables gilded with cream and thyme. The ornate handles carry it to the table with elegance and security. The bold red glaze announces its arrival. This is the baker the holiday feast was waiting for — bold, red, generous, and entirely committed to the simple proposition that the most important baking dish of the season should arrive at the table as boldly dressed as the feast.

Every kitchen needs one dish that shows up for everything: Tuesday lasagna, the holiday green bean casserole, a Sunday peach cobbler. The Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials Dot and Dine Casserole Dish is that dish. The rectangular stoneware baker measures 12 x 8.5 x 3 inches and holds 3.9 quarts, with room for baked pasta, roasted vegetables, mac and cheese and potluck-sized sides. It's oven safe up to 450 degrees F, then goes straight to the table, where a white reactive glaze and beaded design make it look right at home as a serving dish. Because reactive glazes vary as they're fired, each baker carries its own subtle tone. Leftovers can be reheated in the microwave, and the dish is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. Pair it with Dot and Dine dinnerware, ramekins and the pie dish, or give it to anyone who's always the one bringing the casserole. Built on the same hands-on approach Sur La Table has been teaching in its cooking classes across the country for over 50 years, Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials is the complete kitchen toolkit for preparing daily, delicious meals at home. It delivers dependable performance and thoughtful design at an exceptional value, accessible to everyone from the curious home cook to the seasoned pro.

This rectangular baker was handmade and hand decorated in Boleslawiec, Poland by skilled artisans according to old traditional methods. All Polish stoneware is microwave, dishwasher, freezer and oven safe up to 480°F. It does not contain lead or cadmium.

Transferring food from the pan it baked in to a dish worth serving from is where dinner loses heat and looks worse. The Italian Bakers Medium Rectangular Baker removes the step. Handcrafted of Italian stoneware in Umbria, a central Italian region whose ceramic tradition runs to dishes built for the table, scalloped at the edge and solid in the hand, it is meant to go into the oven and then straight onto a trivet in the middle of the table where everyone serves themselves. The rectangular shape suits lasagna, roasted vegetables and anything that benefits from edges that crisp. It is freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe, so leftovers go back into the same dish, into the refrigerator, and out again the next evening without a second pan entering the picture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving this beautiful hand-made deep dish. Its perfect for lasagna and large pasta bakes. Its so pretty that you’ll want to keep it out on display or use often. I’m being very careful with it, hand washing and slow ramp up to heat in the oven. Enjoy!. Dana P.. Wed Sep 03 2025

Not every recipe feeds eight. The Italian Bakers Small Rectangular Baker earns its space on the shelf for the nights when dinner is for two, for a side dish that should not get lost in a big pan, and for the baked custard or gratin that wants its edges close together. This one is handcrafted of Italian stoneware in Umbria, a central Italian region with a deep-rooted ceramic tradition, with the scalloped rim that runs through the Italian Bakers line. Fired at high temperature, the clay is strong and chip resistant, and the piece is dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe, which makes it as useful for leftovers as it is for baking. Carry it to the table as it is, skip the serving dish, and let the pan be the good-looking thing on the table.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect size to bake and serve. It is gorgeous and so durable. LOVE it!. Dianne M.. Sat Nov 30 2024

A 1.5 quart square is the size that gets reached for most: a gratin for six, a side of scalloped potatoes, a crumble to pass around after dinner. The Pietra Natale Square Baker is made in Tuscany by Stefano Roselli from Italian stoneware, a blend of clays fired at high temperature for strength, and it wears the hand pressed edge that links it to VIETRI's Pietra Serena collection. Square corners portion more cleanly than a round dish allows, and the surface is finished well enough that the baker goes to the table instead of being emptied into serveware. Dishwasher safe when the meal ends, it holds a side through Christmas dinner and the week of reheated plates that follows.

Lasagna has requirements. It needs straight sides to keep the layers honest, enough depth that the top browns while the middle stays moist, and a dish handsome enough to go to the table because nobody wants to serve lasagna twice. The Lastra White Rectangular Baker holds two and three-quarter quarts, which covers a full pan for a family with leftovers. Handcrafted of Italian stoneware in Tuscany, it carries Lastra's overlapping edge, borrowed from the wooden hoops Italian cheesemakers bound with twine. Oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe, it takes the whole route from assembly to freezer to oven to table. Layer it with other pieces from the collection and the baking dish stops looking like cookware and starts looking like part of the setting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exceptional quality! This size of dish is so versatile! Satisfaction 100%!. Anne M.. Sat Dec 24 2022

Holiday tables and Sunday lunches ask a lot of one dish: it has to hold enough, survive the oven, and look like it belongs when it lands in front of people. VIETRI's Italian Bakers Large Rectangular Baker does all three. It is handcrafted of Italian stoneware in Umbria, a clay blend fired hot for strength, and edged with the scallop that gives the collection its character. Generous enough for a crowd-sized baked pasta or a full spread of roasted vegetables, it is also dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe, so the dish that cooked dinner is the dish that stores it. Pull it out for the gatherings that come around every year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product! Perfect size for a large eggplant Parmesan casserole!. Suzanne C.. Wed Mar 27 2024

Cooking and serving hot dishes with stoneware is tasty, healthy, and unusual.Temperature range – The stoneware is only suitable for use in the oven. Withstands temperature from -68 °F to 842 °F (-20 °C to +450 °C). Food does not burn in it, as the stoneware has a thick layer.Thermoregulation – The stoneware has a unique ability to absorb and release moisture and, at the same time, to self-regulate the level of humidity and temperature. The products, cooked in stoneware, are especially tasty and healthy due to the correct temperature regime.CARE:Avoid significant temperature changes. We recommend placing the product in a cold or warm oven (not hot). With a sharp temperature drop, the dishes can crack.Soak in cold water for 10-15 minutes before each use. Before use, we recommend that you wash the product. Hand wash with warm water, add some baking soda or use a regular sponge with soap. Leave to air dry; do not wipe.Dry the dishes without a lid. Store the stoneware in a dry place.

Slow simmer a flavorful stew or bake up a new creation with the versatile Crock-Pot Artistan 2.3 Quart Round Stoneware Casserole with Lid in Red. Made of quality stoneware with a beautiful glossy finish, it looks great in the kitchen or on the table. The Artisan cookware series is an updated American classic that every home needs. Cook delicious meals with this versatile Casserole which distributes and retains heat evenly. Effortlessly take it from the stove-top to the oven, the dining table, and then store leftovers in the refrigerator. Create an array of dishes as you slow cook, stew, simmer, and bake delightful dishes for guest to enjoy.

Casserole looks nice and can go in the microwave. The online description is a bit misleading though. Part of it says “ Effortlessly take it from the stove-top to the oven, the dining table, and then store leftovers in the refrigerator.” The casserole has a label on it that specifically says it’s not for stovetop use. I’ll still use it because I mainly bought it to use in the microwave where I can’t use my enameled cast iron, just something for others who order it to be aware of.. Tanya. Parkville, MO.
