I bought this pot because I had a disastrous time making tomato sauce with my existing pots. None were big enough, so I had to use THREE pots. And the largest one of them had a huge burning issue. I needed a pot that I could use on a burner on my induction stove that was NOT the largest burner (that's where my canner goes!), that didn't burn the tomato products when I made them, and that could fit what the previous three pots did. The tapered bottom made this fit well on a smaller burner on my stove. After this arrived, I made tomato paste with it, and it was a perfect fit for my needs. When I was done canning, I saw there wasn't any burned on tomato at the bottom at all. It's wonderful.. Sara. Radford, VA. Fri Oct 09 2026

The endlessly versatile Saute Pan’s generous surface area help build more flavor whether on the stove or in the oven. Equally useful for roasting, braising, simmering, sautéing, and shallow frying, chefs love Saute Pans for their versatility. thes are crafted in Italy from 5 layers of metal for improved heat conduction and distribution, ideal for building flavor in one-pan meals. The Saute Pan’s wide surface area and shallow depth increases both the rate of evaporation and the quality of searing, while its straight walls make turning all that fond into pan sauce far tidier than it would be in a frying pan. The 5-ply construction also cleans up in seconds, because it prevents hot spots and stuck-on messes. A rolled rim allows you to pthe without spilling and the hollow build of the proprietary Stay Cool Handle dissipates heat to keep it from getting scalding hot while on the stovetop.

The 5-quart Tall Cocotte is a taller version of the classic 4-quart cocotte, making it the ideal tool for cooking larger quantities without taking up valuable stovetop space. The additional height is especially useful in cooking bone-in meat cuts like crown roasts as well as layered dishes like tians or dishes that rise, such as soufflés. Plus, the added height reduces the risk of liquids boiling over and reduces splatter when deep-frying or searing. Like all Staub cocotte, the Tall Cocotte is unsurpassed for slow-cooking meats and vegetables to tender perfection and for simmering hearty stews and soups. Cast iron possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout. With a heavyweight, tight-fitting lid that retains moisture and tiny spikes on the lid interior that create a rainforest effect by evenly returning juices onto the food, you can expect moist, perfectly cooked food every time you use this pan. Rooted in French culinary heritage, STAUB cookware is beloved by professional and home chefs for its exquisite craftsmanship, exceptional performance, and timeless beauty. Each STAUB cocotte effortlessly and elegantly transitions from the oven to the table; you can cook and serve it in the same dish. These heirloom pieces can be lovingly passed from generation to generation.

I use this for everything! It’s the most used pot in my home.. April. Bothell, WA. Sun Dec 07 2025
