I love that it's a large 7 quart size because when I use a slow cooker I love to make extras so that I have leftovers. I recently cooked a pot roast in it and was able to throw in lots of carrots and potatoes because of its roomy size. This model has a unique feature of a locking lid and it's great for traveling so that nothing spills while it's in the back of your car. The lid is really nice quality and has a rubber ring around it so you can get a nice seal while cooking. It's easy to program and start in the morning so you have dinner ready later that evening. Set up is more than easy and there aren’t a bunch of miniature pieces to clean. Personally I clean mine after each use instead of allowing the food to sit so it doesn’t create that harsh buildup around the edges. The best part about the slow cooker to me is the auto warming feature. Past appliances I’ve used, some would require that I manually change the temperature. Also, those sizes are basically just warmers because they don't have a high cook setting. The quality is fantastic. The temperature control is labeled well and easy to use. For safety's sake, a red light illuminates while in use and the handles stay cool to the touch. The lid is great. It's clear glass and has a vent hole. I love that I can see how everything is coming together without having to lift the lid and let all the heat escape. I've only had mine for a month so I can't really vouch for durability but I do attest that mine still looks and works like brand new. I highly recommend this Nesco slow cooker. well I was very excited to get this since I will be needing it for my Christmas dinner. it is much bigger than I expected and Ill probably be re-gifting it to my daughter who does more entertaining than I do. it will more than suffice for my purposes for Christmas dinner. overall the product meets or exceeds my expectations except for a couple minor flaws in the paint dipping department, they are not chips or cracks just spots that did not fare well with the paint. this is a very versatile piece of equipment and I like that each crock has its own setting. the lid rests which are included dont seem to sit very well in the provided holes so that might be a problem but I dont foresee that happening. if you do any amount of entertaining this is definitely something you want possibly to just set things up and cook for 4 to 6 hours or even keep things warm for a couple three four hours. after reading the booklet it does say that the lids are not dishwasher safe but since Im the dishwasher I can wash them by hand, the crocs are safe for the dishwasher per the instructions. I also want to give kudos to the manufacturing company for sourcing out products that are green for the environment the top wattage on this is only 300 watts with as little as 70 watts for the warm feature as compared to some countertop cookers which are 1,000 watts and over..
