The saucepan you actually reach for. At 2.5 quarts the Alva Maestro Ceramic Nonstick Saucepan is sized for two to four people — a pot of rice, a pan of oatmeal, a cheese sauce, a small batch of soup — and the ceramic surface means the starchy, sticky things that ruin a bare pot release cleanly instead of burning on. The aluminium core spreads heat up the walls as well as across the base, so milk warms without scalding and a sauce reduces without a scorched ring. Interior marks let you measure as you pour. Oven safe to 400°F and compatible with every cooktop including induction. Ceramic is nonstick, not no-fat: use a little oil, keep heat low to medium, and hand wash to protect the coating.
