I bought the nutribullet Flex about a month ago and have used it pretty much every day since to mix a protein and fiber shake. Most things about the mixer work great. I actually really like that it is powered by a rechargeable battery, because my kitchen is in an old house and there are relatively few power outlets. The charge lasts for a couple of weeks for mixing a single shake every morning, which is great. The size is perfect as well for my needs.
My biggest complaint is that I realized a few days ago that protein powder had collected at the bottom of the mixer around the screw-off blade assembly and had actually spoiled. I thought I was rinsing all of it away, but apparently not. Because I hadn't noticed this for a while, the bottom blade assembly has now acquired a nasty smell. Vinegar has not so far been able to eliminate the odor. You don't notice it when the mixer is assembled and you make a shake, but now I realize it is very important to disassemble the entire mixer every time you use it to make sure you clean out the bottom from any accumulated food gunk — and then let it dry completely. If it spoils, it seems to soak into the softer rubber parts and then becomes permanent.. David8472. Denver, CO. Thu Jun 11 2026
