This steam cooker is such an improvement from the old plastic steam cooker I used to have. First, it’s made of silicone instead of plastic that leaches chemicals, it’s roomy, and it even comes with a recipe book. I tried steaming sugar snap peas in it and they came out perfect. I am shocked and delighted!! I had no idea what to expect, but I made dinner in my Lekue Steam Cooker. I sliced a potatoe, added olive oil and seasoning and a splash of water. Then I precooked it for 4 minutes. Then I placed a 4 oz frozen salmon fillet on top of the potatoes. Seasoned it and put it back in the microwave for 4 minutes. I checked it at 2.5 minutes and it was already done. Salmon was cooked perfectly...moist, full of flavor and literally falling apart. The potatoes were beautifully cooked as well. They are also made of silicone, so nothing sticks to them and they are super easy to clean either by hand or dishwasher.
