I just set up the grill I ordered along with the paella pan! This is the 24" pan and it's big. It beautiful can't wait to use it out doors! I ordered the Weber 26" grill to go with it (keep in mind with this size pan if you use this grill the grate need to be turned inside out due to the handles, so the pan can fit properly) I love this set up so had to make it work some how :). The box was open, single layer cardboard, with no tape. It smelled oddly of floral perfume. Inside was the heavy, beautifully smooth carbon steel paella pan, with instructions on how to season it. Just received this pan a day ago and after cleaning and doing an oven season I had the pleasure this morning to try it out. I fried a couple of eggs which turned out perfectly and didn't stick at all. I also made some camp toast with a dab of butter in the pan and homemade bread slice to soak up the butter and brown. When the pan cooled down I wiped it down with a paper towel and she's ready for the next round. My Spanish rice should be coming in a few days and then I'll finally be able to make some paella. Hopefully it will turn out as good as my wife remembers when she lived in Spain. As a die hard cast iron skillet user (35+ years) I think I've found something equal if not better to cook with..
