The coffee team gs uses the same solid steel conical burrs as found in high-end automatic coffee machines. The slow grinding of the burrs imparts minimal heat, preserving more aroma than blade grinding for a finer, more uniform grind. The coffee team gs lets you program the amount of coffee to grind: choose from 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 cups and select mild, regular, or strong. The only downside is that the owner’s manual isn’t very helpful when it comes to the initial setup. The instructions could definitely be clearer. However, if you take your time and work through it carefully, it’s absolutely possible to get everything configured correctly. Once it’s up and running, it’s been reliable and performs beautifully. I used this coffee maker about 2 weeks and the grind and brew stopped working. I called Ivation directly but we could not resolve the problem. Then it started working again the next day. Works well. The fill tank doesn't empty all the way though. It can be removed to empty it if you wish. We let it in because of the amount of times we use it.
