Blue Trivets

Crafted from the same legendary enameled cast iron as Le Creuset cookware, the 9-in. round signature trivet protects surfaces from heat and condensation. The clever footed design elevates hot dishes, platters, and cookware above counters and tables while also allowing air to circulate underneath. Silicone pads on the feet provide a stable base and help protect surfaces. Note: Do not place this product in an open flame or directly on any heat source. When used as a surface protector, some heat transfer is possible and should be used with caution on vulnerable surfaces such as natural wood, polished or lacquered wood, plastic table coverings, or cork-backed table mats.

For everything from opening jars and peeling garlic to handling hot dishes and protecting tabletops, the versatile tool, with its classic Le Creuset design, resists stains, odors, and flavor absorption and is heat-resistant to 482°F. This trivet is crafted and hand-painted by artisans in Mexico using traditional pottery techniques. It is highly textured and unique. The trivet is gorgeous, yet very functional. Lead-free, dishwasher and microwave are safe.

Very nicely made, surface is straight, no dips or bulges, colors are vibrant. Yes, it is textured, that is the nature of this type of pottery. These felt trivets add texture, style and fun pops of color while protecting your dinner table. Crafted from fine New Zealand wool and azo-free dyes using age-old techniques. Handmade in Nepal by a Fair Trade women's cooperative. Care: Spot clean as needed. Do not machine wash or dry. The Art of Felting: The first step to creating these beautiful felt pieces begins with gathering some of the worlds finest sheeps wool from New Zealand. Making felted wool is an ages-old, time-consuming process of bonding fabric with fiber. This is a physical job where the artisans scrub, rub, roll and rinse the wool again and again with soapy water. Once the wool is bound into a sheet and the desired thickness is complete, the felt is laid out to dry. From there, the felt wool is cut and re-worked into many complex shapes and designs. The many sheets of wool might merge several colors to create patterns and layers. This takes a well-trained, talented artisan and is a true labor of love. The end results are colorful, one-of-a-kind textiles that are stunning to behold.
