This is the only electric sharpener I know of where you can change out a sharpening stone set to switch from 20-degree-bevel knives (western knives) and 15-degree-bevel knives (asian knives) . The sharpener isn't cheap, but it seems to work really well and it saves having to chase down a sharpening service (who probably uses the same equipment) every time I need to touch up my kitchen knives.. Once upon I time I could sharpen my knifes to razor sharpness by hand. Decades later my hands are no longer steady enough to do that. I spent 10 minutes reading the instructions and then ten minutes getting two 8" knives sharper than I could do it by hand. After using it a few more times I'll be able to get a knife sharp in under a minute. Seriously, I think I'll be able to sharpen a knife as fast as a professional chef does with one of their sharpening rods.
